Position Overview

The role of the Regional Float Nurse within the System Staffing Office is designed for experienced inpatient nurses specializing in Critical Care. This position requires flexibility to provide nursing services across multiple facilities within the Dartmouth Health System.

  • Organizes and prioritizes tasks effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Stays informed of the latest evidence and standards, applying them to daily nursing practice.
  • Encourages a culture of inquiry by contributing to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices at the local level.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a minimum of one year of experience.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with at least two years of experience.

Licensure and Certifications Required

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license with eligibility in New Hampshire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire, with higher-level certifications as needed based on unit requirements.
  • ACLS certification is mandatory upon hire for specific units.
