Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a Telehealth Nurse Specialist, you will provide professional nursing care and support to patients via telephone/video camera, utilizing critical thinking and communication skills to assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health-related problems and risk states, developing nursing care plans accordingly.
- Provide individualized nursing care, recognizing and taking appropriate action for significant changes in patient conditions.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care and make necessary modifications to assist with optimal patient outcomes.
- Establish relevant, evidence-based, and safe nursing interventions and priorities when providing nursing care.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, patient's significant others, and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required; Baccalaureate in nursing strongly preferred.
- Critical Care Nursing experience required; 2-5 years critical care nursing preferred.
- Previous computer experience required.
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities, along with strong customer service skills that include excellent phone and video etiquette.
- Knowledge and skills sufficient to integrate the use of healthcare technology and/or information management systems into the provision of nursing care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) required for Tele-Emergency only.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required for Tele-Emergency only.
- Certified in specialty preferred.
- Membership in a professional organization preferred.
