Job Summary

The Security Governance Specialist II serves on the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team at Request Technology, LLC, leading and executing assigned services within the GRC team. This subject matter expert provides information security consulting to technical and non-technical management and the user community, performing key risk management functions within the Security Governance department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute assigned services within the GRC team
  • Provide information security consulting to technical and non-technical management and the user community
  • Perform key risk management functions within the Security Governance department
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and programs
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management and security governance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Four years of experience in information security, with a focus on risk management and security governance
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, SOC, and SIG
  • Prior experience in the legal industry is preferred
  • Technical writing experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices is required
  • Strong knowledge of security administration and role-based security controls is required
  • Three or more years of experience managing timelines and being self-directed is preferred
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool management experience is preferred
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or other relevant training and certifications are preferred
