Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. Our mission is to provide quality service to patients, partners, and teammates, and we are committed to being the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice.
About the RoleAs a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment to patients
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Recording patient statistics and observations
- Setting up hemodialysis machines
You will also have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients who are suffering from end-stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will be responsible for educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics and providing emotional support to patients and their families.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort working around blood and needles
- Ability to mix acid or bicarb
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet
- Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed
Healthcare experience is a plus, including BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
