Overview of the Corporate Taxation Lead:

  • Manage corporate income tax responsibilities
  • Supervise multi-state PL elections and adjust for changes in economic presence alongside Directors and tax advisors.
  • Calculate current and deferred income tax provisions, prepare journal entries, and reconcile tax liabilities. Collaborate with Finance for year-end balances and reconciliations.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules; integrate tax schedules into SAP.
  • Maintain US Consolidation, investment, and equity roll-forwards, ensuring accurate recording of changes in capital or dividends.
  • Review Form 1099s for precision and timely submission.
  • Annually update Transfer Pricing Information, prepare Form 5472 and 263A UNICAP calculations.
  • Manage federal and state income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and audits.
  • Update Accumulated Earnings and Profits (E&P) for dividends.

State Sales Tax and Tax Reporting:

  • Monitor changes in state tax regulations and product profiles. Generate and review tax reports, resolving discrepancies with software providers.
  • Participate in monthly industry discussions with tax professionals to remain informed about remote sales regulations.
  • Review state and sales tax returns on a monthly basis.
  • Handle annual Tangible Personal Property Tax Reporting.
  • Stay informed on technological and regulatory advancements to promote innovation and compliance.

Corporate Taxation Lead Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience in both public and private sectors
    • 5+ years at a medium to large firm with US distribution experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Experience in sales & use tax and corporate tax
  • Experience in Distribution/Manufacturing/Retail/Tobacco industry is advantageous

Salary: $120,000-$140,000
