Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hazardous Substances Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Site Mitigation and Restoration Program, you will be responsible for managing complex environmental investigation and remediation projects, reviewing and commenting on technical documents, and directing the work of contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project timelines.
- Review and comment on technical documents, including Phase I reports, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments, and site characterization workplans.
- Direct and oversee the work of contractors, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion of projects.
- Conduct site-specific projects, including sampling and analysis, human health and ecological risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget estimates.
- Experience in environmental investigation and remediation, with a focus on hazardous substances.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including the public, community-based organizations, and regulated industries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
