Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply system safety engineering principles to analyze and mitigate hazards in complex systems
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including System Safety Program Plans and Hazard Tracking Systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into system design and development
  • Conduct risk assessments and mishap investigations to identify and address safety concerns
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree with 5 years of relevant experience or MS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with electrical circuit design and application of MIL-STD-882E
  • Experience with system safety analysis, hazard tracking, and risk assessment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with missile systems design and development
  • Familiarity with military system safety standards and processes
  • Knowledge of system safety incident investigation processes
