Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform experienced professional work in transportation engineering, reviewing and analyzing traffic impact studies to provide information for development and permitting decisions.
  • Assist in the development of transportation improvement projects and research funding sources for traffic operations projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address transportation needs and develop solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in transportation engineering and grants administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of transportation and/or traffic engineering experience, including transportation modeling and analysis software.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license and current Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) certification as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT).
  • Registration as a State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds, and repetitively perform fine manipulation, pulling, pushing, and simple grasping. The employee must also be able to balance, bend, kneel, reach, and stoop, and have good color perception, distant vision, hearing, near vision, speech, and use of both eyes.
