Job Description

Job Summary:

The Mar-a-Lago Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the Club's equipment and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.
  • Inspect and identify areas or equipment in need of repair or maintenance.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs, as well as perform scheduled routine maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Repair and replace worn or defective parts, such as switches and fuses.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within the Club and guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.
  • Utilize and maintain equipment in a proper, safe, and effective manner.
  • Maintain records and other maintenance reports as required.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Comply with the Club's safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as lifting/moving heavy items and pressure washing.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR). HVAC or other certifications a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
