Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Administration team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, and therapeutic interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, complete physical examinations, and collect clinical data.
- Administer medications, perform minor surgery, and order medical laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records, complete coding for billing, and manage medical supplies.
- Serve as a resource and team leader, ensuring the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge.
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Successful completion and maintenance of ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- HIPAA compliance at all times.
