About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Services team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with our medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
