Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate management, accounting, or finance is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in commercial property management and financial reporting is required.
A demonstrated history of delivering exceptional customer service.
Strong comprehension of financial terminology and principles, along with the capability to analyze financial statements. Experience with financial reporting, accruals, and budgeting is essential.
Proficient in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite.
Familiarity with Yardi or comparable property management software is advantageous.
Plusses:

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Real Estate Manager, as the Assistant Real Estate Manager, you will assist your supervisor in all management aspects of the assigned portfolio, focusing particularly on financial matters. Your role will be crucial in supporting the operational and financial duties of the properties within the portfolio, including the provision of various financial reports, accruals, re-forecasts, budgeting, and reconciliations.
Managing the customer ticketing system and conducting property inspections will also be key components of this position. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing tenant events and overseeing special event coordination as required.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning, budgeting, and control of operating and capital expenditures.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and variance reports, including accruals and journal entries, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting.
- Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable, which includes rent collection, accruals, expense payments, common area maintenance estimates, reconciliations, compliance with lease agreements, and preparation of all related documentation.
- Responding to customer inquiries and needs; coordinating with Property Management and Technical Operations teams to resolve issues.
- Overseeing the selection and performance of vendor services, including the preparation of requests for proposals and service agreements; monitoring vendor performance against service level agreements.
- Scheduling and facilitating maintenance with vendors and customers.
- Conducting regular property inspections and making recommendations to maintain and enhance the assigned property portfolio.
- Maintaining a strong relationship with the Asset Manager and Technical Operations team for the assigned portfolio to ensure that all corporate objectives are met.
- Documenting and tracking all certificates of insurance from vendors and customers.
- Maintaining accurate and relevant information for vendors and customers.
- Establishing and nurturing effective working relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
