Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Resident Engineer to join our Transportation Business Line in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical direction and guidance to staff and subordinate engineers/inspectors, ensuring the successful delivery of transit and rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and guidance to staff and subordinate engineers/inspectors, enforcing company and project policies, and maintaining close client interface.
- Supervise field staff, coordinate field activities, and provide project progress reports to the Client and AECOM Department Manager.
- Prepare and manage quality and safety plans for the project.
- Work with the Department Manager on development and execution of significant project pursuits and delivery.
- Assist the Department Manager to formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for major pursuits, helping in proposal efforts and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects.
- Establish relationships with external clients and customers, including industry associations and other potential consultant team members and construction contractors.
- Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM's values both internally and externally.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of major successful projects for transit and rail projects, and be able to demonstrate an established career in the Construction Engineering and Management industry.
