Chicana/o Studies Affiliate Instructor

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a part-time affiliate faculty member in the Department of Chicana/o Studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The successful candidate will teach courses in Chicana/o Studies, including CHS1000 Introduction to Chicano Studies and other lower and upper division courses as needed.
Responsibilities- Teach one or more courses during the day, evening, and/or weekend as necessary.
- Deliver course content to students, prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade student work, and provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner.
- Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
- Advise students and provide online or in-person academic support as needed.
- Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
- Master's degree in Chicana/o Studies or a related field.
- Ph.D. in Chicano studies or a related field and teaching experience is desirable.
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program.
