Job Title: Impound Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and effective placement of impound repossession assignments. Your responsibilities will include reviewing incoming impound notices, contacting holding facilities for details, and following up with customers or relevant agencies. Additionally, you will review assignment details to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements. This position will also serve as a point of contact for maintaining vendor relationships, including assignment follow-up, fee authorizations, and invoice approvals. Once repossessed, you will be responsible for sending state notifications and processing invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review received impound notices or through the Loss Alert system of record
  • Make outbound/inbound call attempts to customers to obtain insurance information and customer intentions
  • Recover seized or impounded vehicles, following State and Federal guidelines
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with repossession agents, impound lots, and various internal departments
  • Complete required applicable paperwork, including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters
  • Responsible for sending state required notice of intent letters for the repossession and skip departments
  • Assignment of other non-impound repossessions as needed
Requirements:
  • 1+ year Collections experience preferred
  • Knowledge of repossessions and auto loans preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to prevent loan loss
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • 1+ year office experience or equivalent education and training
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent Customer Service
