Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic 'fill and finish' site that produces innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments.

The Position

As a Shift Manager, you will lead, coach, and mentor shift process teams to execute production plans, ensuring quality, customer, and business objectives are met.

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe, productive, and engaging work environment
  • Promote adherence to quality objectives, specifications, and requirements
  • Coach and mentor work cell leaders, operations area specialists, quality improvement specialists, process team members, and technical area specialists
  • Provide direction, prioritization, and motivation for all shift team members
  • Manage personnel issues, employment decisions, vacation planning, and other HR-related tasks
  • Perform process confirmation of standards to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate across shift teams to share, standardize, and continuously improve
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with a minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience, or successful completion of NN leadership talent development program (GROW)
  • Two years of Aseptic Processing experience (Aseptic Production only) preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and understand complicated product documentation and standard operating procedures with attention to detail
  • Computer expertise in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, PLCs, PAS-X a plus
  • Experience utilizing process improvement or Lean manufacturing tools, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
Development of People

As a Shift Manager, you will ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that align with business priorities. You will also manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
