Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced K-12 School Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students and families in three schools in the Mayer/Watertown area, focusing on social, emotional, and academic learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and co-lead student support teams to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
- Meet with administration teams to review referrals and interventions, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Drive the implementation of tier 1 programs, providing training and support to teachers as needed, and ensuring connection with tier 2/3 interventions.
- Develop and lead cross-grade tier 2 groups, maintaining awareness of student diagnoses and developing plans for tier 3 students.
- Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to our team and outside resources when necessary.
- Provide college and career guidance, helping students achieve their goals.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in school counseling or a related field.
- MN School Counselor License or pre-license candidates in a counseling program.
