Transfer Center Operations Specialist

This position provides critical support to the Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine service by facilitating patient transfers and consultations. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical expertise and interpersonal skills to effectively manage assignments and provide support to the care team.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Patient Transfers: Coordinate the transfer of patients between departments and facilities, ensuring seamless communication and timely access to care.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Offer guidance and support to care team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Manage Assignments: Prioritize and manage assignments to ensure timely completion and optimal patient outcomes.
- Support Care Team: Provide administrative support to the care team, including documentation and communication.
- Education: High school education or equivalent preferred.
- License/Certifications: EMS Certification or 5 years' healthcare experience with familiarity with healthcare terminology, roles, and hospital processes.
- Experience: See License/Certifications.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
