Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual counseling services to patients
  • Conduct individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
  • Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments
  • Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan
  • Involve families and significant others in patients' recovery process whenever possible
  • Respond to patient grievances and complaints
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • CAC II, CAC III, or LAC or LPC, LMFT, LCSW
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a related setting is preferred
  • The ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans and chart accurately
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
