About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, ensuring high availability and reliability of our critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve data center efficiency, reliability, and availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data center operations align with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to data center operations, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent downtime and data loss.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management position, with a team of 5 or more direct reports.
  • Proven track record of people management and team development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
