Job Title: Physical Therapist

Job Summary:
HexaQuEST Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and evaluates physician's referral and patient's medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
  • Performs patient tests, measurements, and evaluations, and records findings to aid in establishing or revising specifics of treatment process.
  • Plans and prepares a written treatment program based on evaluation of available patient data.
  • Administers manual therapeutic exercises to improve or maintain muscle function, applying precise amounts of manual force and guiding patient's body parts through selective patterns and degrees of movement.
  • Instructs, motivates, and assists patients in non-manual exercises, such as active regimens, isometrics, and progressive-resistives, and in functional activities, such as ambulation, transfer, and daily-living activities.
  • Evaluates effects of treatments at various intensities and durations, and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Administers treatments involving application of physical agents, such as light, heat, water, and electricity, moist packs, low-voltage generators, and ultrasound machines.
  • Records patient treatment response and progress.
  • Instructs patient and family in physical therapy procedures to be continued at home.
  • Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications to Orthotist.
  • Confers with physician and other health practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient health care.
  • Completes daily charges and schedules patients.

Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed physical therapist in the State of Washington.
  • Must have successfully completed a Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy approved by the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a general hospital, clinic, or rehabilitation center preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • Normal shifts, 8-5.
  • Must be currently active in the State of Washington.
  • No guarantee of minimum hours.
