Northeast Per Diem Educational Consultant

Job Summary:
The Northeast Per Diem Educational Consultant (9-12 Math) is a key member of the Savvas Learning Company team, responsible for delivering high-quality educational services to schools and districts in the Northeast region. This role requires a deep understanding of mathematics education and the ability to provide expert support to teachers and administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professional Development: Design and deliver professional development programs for teachers and administrators, focusing on effective teaching strategies and best practices in mathematics education.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers and administrators, helping them to improve their instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Technical Assistance: Offer technical assistance to schools and districts, providing guidance on the implementation of Savvas Learning Company products and services.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with school and district leaders, communicating effectively and collaborating to meet the needs of students and educators.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mathematics education or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in mathematics education, with a strong background in teaching and coaching.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of mathematics education, including curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
Desired Qualifications:
- Scaffolding Instruction: Experience in scaffolding instruction for English Language Learners and students with disabilities.
- Instructional Technology: Familiarity with instructional technology and its effective use in the classroom.
- Virtual Teaching and Learning: Experience in virtual teaching and learning, including online course design and delivery.
Additional Information:
- Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 70%, including airline and automobile travel.
- Work Environment: Must be able to sit or stand at a personal computer for a reasonable length of time, typing and reading, as well as when presenting.
