STAFFING FISH LLC is on the lookout for a skilled and driven Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This pivotal position will focus primarily on the management of inventory accounting processes. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will oversee the company's inventory accounting and reporting functions. Key responsibilities include the preparation and review of journal entries, thorough account and balance sheet reconciliations, detailed margin analysis, and the generation of accurate financial reports. While experience with multi-state sales tax is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and reconcile inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness for monthly financial reporting.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and generate monthly and annual inventory reconciliations.
  • Analyze intricate inventory data to uncover trends and propose enhancements for process efficiency.
  • Conduct general ledger, margin, and expense analysis, along with account reconciliations.
  • Perform comprehensive variance analysis on assigned accounts to clarify reasons for fluctuations and uphold accuracy.
  • Compile and prepare financial status reports and transaction summaries, including profit and loss statements and other essential documentation.
  • Support the month-end closing of the general ledger and collaborate with external audit firms during annual audits and other reviews.
  • Lead special projects and provide support to various departments as required.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of comprehensive accounting experience is required.
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience in inventory accounting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities under various legal structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present financial and transaction reports to management.
