Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager will serve as the on-site quality control point of contact for the contract to which they are assigned. This individual will be responsible for ensuring contractual requirements are met and will act as the first-line inspection authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accomplish quality control objectives by inspecting, orienting, and training employees, monitoring job contributions, and communicating job expectations.
  • Achieve quality control operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, and implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, as well as investigating customer complaints.
  • Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Execute reports, inspections, and logs as required by the contract, and obtain and maintain required security clearance and comply with the Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Maintain safety and health programs that comply with EM and applicable OSHA, DOD, Armed Forces, federal, state, and local safety, environmental, and health requirements.
  • Create, manage, and train on site, area, and project safety, and present findings, reports, and programs summary in formal meetings with each client as required.
  • Ensure that all required daily and end-of-month reports are accomplished and that all contract deliverables are submitted as required by the Performance Work Statement.

Requirements:

  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry course or ability to acquire certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental Quality Control principles and related software.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow government contracts.
  • Strong ability to use mobile devices for inspections.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively delegate and develop team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).

Working Conditions:

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager at Corporate and is an independent authority of the Project Manager while working alongside the Project Manager and Supervisors.

This position communicates regularly with the Project Manager and Supervisors to inform them of deficiencies or the need to correct a discrepancy.
