Position Overview:

The role of the Medical Office Receptionist is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills to effectively manage multiple responsibilities within a medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming phone calls, screen inquiries, and relay messages to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Coordinate patient appointments for consultations, diagnostic tests, and referrals using our electronic medical records system.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all necessary information is readily available.
  • Maintain clear communication with physicians and nursing staff regarding the daily schedule and any modifications.
  • Input daily appointment data, including cancellations and rescheduling, into the scheduling system.
  • Verify and process medical orders through the electronic system.
Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a medical receptionist capacity.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to provide care tailored to the age-related needs of patients across various demographics.
