About Us:

Abe Brown Ministries (ABM) is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to serving individuals with a lived incarceration experience. With over 45 years of service, we provide job placement and support services for those reintegrating into communities across several counties.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication Management:

  • Welcome, screen, and direct visitors and phone inquiries with a positive demeanor.
  • Oversee the phone system, including managing voicemail communications.
  • Be a resource for inquiries from callers and visitors.
  • Disseminate ministry-wide announcements and updates through digital communication channels.
  • Handle sensitive information professionally, including participant details and prayer requests.
  • Manage email correspondence efficiently.
  • Provide clerical assistance to staff as required.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain essential records and documentation for community service participants.
  • Organize and manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Keep administrative supplies organized and accessible.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and conference calls.
  • Coordinate with external vendors regarding office equipment needs.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of shared office spaces.
  • Manage data systems, including updating member profiles and generating reports.
  • Track attendance and information from volunteers.
  • Collaborate with staff to meet administrative needs and overcome challenges.

Support Initiatives:

  • Manage assigned projects related to administrative functions.
  • Provide backup support to ministry staff as needed.
  • Promote the programs of Abe Brown Ministries.
  • Coordinate participation in community outreach events.
  • Ensure a welcoming environment for staff and guests.
  • Foster a positive representation of the ministry.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in non-profit or ministry-related roles.
  • At least 4 years of administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general database management.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
  • Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Christian experience is valued.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and a commitment to service.
  • Dependable, organized, and adaptable to administrative challenges.
