About Us:
Abe Brown Ministries (ABM) is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to serving individuals with a lived incarceration experience. With over 45 years of service, we provide job placement and support services for those reintegrating into communities across several counties.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Management:
- Welcome, screen, and direct visitors and phone inquiries with a positive demeanor.
- Oversee the phone system, including managing voicemail communications.
- Be a resource for inquiries from callers and visitors.
- Disseminate ministry-wide announcements and updates through digital communication channels.
- Handle sensitive information professionally, including participant details and prayer requests.
- Manage email correspondence efficiently.
- Provide clerical assistance to staff as required.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain essential records and documentation for community service participants.
- Organize and manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Keep administrative supplies organized and accessible.
- Assist in organizing meetings and conference calls.
- Coordinate with external vendors regarding office equipment needs.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of shared office spaces.
- Manage data systems, including updating member profiles and generating reports.
- Track attendance and information from volunteers.
- Collaborate with staff to meet administrative needs and overcome challenges.
Support Initiatives:
- Manage assigned projects related to administrative functions.
- Provide backup support to ministry staff as needed.
- Promote the programs of Abe Brown Ministries.
- Coordinate participation in community outreach events.
- Ensure a welcoming environment for staff and guests.
- Foster a positive representation of the ministry.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in non-profit or ministry-related roles.
- At least 4 years of administrative experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general database management.
- Able to work effectively with diverse communities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
- Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of standard office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Christian experience is valued.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and a commitment to service.
- Dependable, organized, and adaptable to administrative challenges.
