Job Description:

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service in a luxurious setting? We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our Banquet team at St. James Hotel, a boutique hotel steeped in rich history and Victorian charm.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests with a smile, take orders, and serve food and beverages with professionalism and warmth.
  • Dispense appropriate levels of alcohol and prepare drinks according to recipes and hotel standards.
  • Adhere to all hotel, local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe and proper food and alcohol service.
  • Maintain full knowledge of all food, cocktail, wine, and beer offerings to assist guests effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire restaurant.
  • Properly use all equipment and adhere to cost controls to minimize expenses and waste.
  • Work as a team player, contributing to the success of the bar, restaurant, and events.
  • Accurately handle cash and reconcile bartender financials at the end of the shift.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide efficient and timely services.

Qualifications:

Two years of related customer service experience, preferably with cash handling.
  • Basic computer skills, strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
