Job Description

BAE Systems, a leading defense and aerospace company, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in McLean, Virginia. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) environment using Nlyte applications.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and identify systems integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal.
  • Transition and integrate legacy DCIM tools to Nlyte product suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement enterprise computing infrastructure, including network infrastructure, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services, and virtualized applications.
  • Develop and maintain systems integration code for ServiceNow and other third-party applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years related experience in systems engineering, systems administration, and applications development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft IIS,.NET, and ADO.
  • Ability to code in Python and write PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience managing Nlyte applications and transitioning legacy DCIM tools to Nlyte.
  • Systems Administration experience in Linux, Windows, and variants.
  • Development experience in day-to-day operations environment of DCIM tools.
  • Back-end development experience, server-side, APIs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to be SQL admin.
  • Advanced experience in systems integration, ability to write integration code for ServiceNow.
  • Ability to be local Systems Administrator.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
  • Security Development Operations (SecDevOps).
  • Integration with third-party applications.
