About the Role:

As a Safety Coordinator at Haydon, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in all work areas, machinery, and safety equipment.
  • Evaluate processes for potential hazards through Job Hazard Analysis and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazards Assessments.
  • Implement site-specific hazard control methods, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training for all employees and contractors.
  • Manage safety training records, certifications, incident reports, and OSHA logs.
  • Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, state, and local regulations, including proper use of PPEs.
  • Assist with regulatory audits and incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations Business Partner and Operations Management team.
  • Work with the quality, operations, and maintenance team on various projects.
  • Perform emergency response drills and lead response teams.
  • Liaise with site management to deliver safety information and updates.
  • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with employees.
  • Prepare safety statistics and reports for the EHS Director.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of safety experience preferred.
  • Safety certifications (First Aid Trainer, Forklift Trainer, OSHA 30) preferred.
  • Flexibility with work schedule.
  • Computer skills: MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to build relationships and interface with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish preferred.
