The role involves the creation, management, and execution of diverse training programs and initiatives pertaining to rail maintenance for the Light Rail Operations Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute intricate tasks associated with the technical domain; oversee complex maintenance initiatives; serve as the Contacting Officer's Representative (COR) as designated. Formulate cost projections, timelines, and financial plans.
- Lead, oversee, and coordinate the Maintenance and Supervision Training Program (MTP).
- Design and implement training strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Create career pathways for entry-level and advanced positions within the MTP.
- Provide direct instruction on advanced, sophisticated equipment.
- Assess and update MTP lesson plans, educational materials, and course documentation.
- Establish training goals, technical assessments, and needs evaluations.
- Offer direction for the execution and formulation of training policies, procedures, and financial plans.
- Manage the implementation and formulation of training policies, procedures, and financial plans.
- Oversee Computer-Based Training administration.
- Assist with the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support infrastructure projects and asset configuration management modifications.
- Provide project management, facilitation, and administrative assistance for the professional growth of supervisors and managers.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Automotive Technology, Business Education, Electrical, Electronic Technology, Engineering, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of six (6) years of progressive maintenance experience in a technical setting, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to pass practical assessments demonstrating proficiency in following written instructions and computer navigation.
- Valid Class-C Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class-A Restricted within a specified timeframe.
- Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination, including a drug screening.
- Strong proficiency in personal computer usage, including software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
- Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective training evaluations and develop comprehensive training materials.
- Commitment to meeting the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capacity to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve complex problems.
Working Environment:
The position may involve exposure to various environmental factors, including dust, noise, and temperature variations. Adherence to safety protocols and use of protective equipment is mandatory.
