Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Dearborn Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
  • Participate in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians.
  • Provide technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
  • Assist with general department functions, including cleaning, assembling, and maintaining equipment per infection control guidelines.
  • Perform critical care procedures, including airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, and patient transport.
  • Assess patients and recommend patient care plans per established protocols.
  • Document patient information and provide chart review.
  • Precept students and staff.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status.
  • Required licenses and certifications include LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI, CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC, and CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the midnight shift. The successful candidate will be required to work every other weekend.
