Senior Advanced Practice Provider - Burns and Pediatrics

The Senior Advanced Practice Provider (Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will collaborate with an attending physician to assess, diagnose, and manage acute health conditions.

Key responsibilities include documenting health histories, conducting thorough physical assessments, initiating diagnostic tests, and addressing minor trauma and urgent health issues.

This role also involves leading and mentoring fellow Advanced Practice Providers in a 24/7 operational environment.



Performance Standards
1. Documentation: Accurately records significant findings in patient charts and dictations.
2. Accuracy: Orders and interprets diagnostic tests with precision.
3. Thoroughness: Conducts comprehensive history and physical exams aligned with patient complaints.
4. Discharge Planning: Facilitates referrals to appropriate specialty clinics.
5. Prescribing: Individualizes medication prescriptions based on patient needs.
6. Consultation: Engages with attending physicians for necessary consultations.
7. Ancillary Services: Orders necessary therapies when indicated.
8. Timely Dictation: Completes dictation promptly.
9. Transcription: Reviews and signs off on transcriptions in a timely manner.
10. Specialty Consults: Requests specialty consultations as required.
11. Procedures: Performs relevant procedures such as suturing and line placements.
12. Admissions: Coordinates with the admitting team for patient admissions.
13. Lab Utilization: Appropriately uses lab resources.
14. Work Environment: Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
15. Productivity: Manages an appropriate patient load each shift.
16. Time Management: Utilizes work hours effectively for job-related activities.
17. Student Engagement: Mentors students in clinical training.
18. Collaboration: Fosters positive working relationships with colleagues.
19. Reliability: Adheres to attendance and punctuality standards.
20. Resource Management: Strives to conserve clinic resources.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Washington State; a Master's Degree; and a minimum of two years of experience as an APP (ARNP or PA-C). Lead experience is preferred.
