Job Summary

As a Transportation Design Engineer at RightWorks Inc, you will be responsible for producing roadway and transportation-related designs for new or planned rehabilitation projects. You will also manage project tasks, attend client meetings, and communicate effectively with the design team.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop general site engineering designs, including drainage and grading, site work elements, lighting, and green infrastructure
* Manage project tasks, attend client meetings, and communicate effectively with the design team
* Participate in proposals, presentations, and regulatory agency meetings
* Train and mentor less experienced engineers in the production of plans, specifications, and estimates

Requirements

* Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Science (BS) with a concentration in Civil Engineering - Transportation oriented
* 10 years of relevant local roadway planning and design experience
* Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Connecticut or ability to become registered
* Experience with CTDOT and working with CT municipalities, including cities, towns, and regional planning organizations
* Knowledge of local municipality standards for design and drainage, and CT Green Infrastructure experience a plus
