Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: The Assistant Nurse Manager will function as the off-shift extension of the unit manager, responsible for the continuity of nursing management principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Staff Development: The Assistant Nurse Manager will regularly meet with employees to improve communication, build productive relationships, and analyze employee satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Internal Partnerships: The Assistant Nurse Manager will work with HUP clinical leadership to develop programs, services, and initiatives to anticipate future customer needs, build customer loyalty, and generate profitable growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The Assistant Nurse Manager will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory standards and requirements, including TJC, Department of Health, funding agencies, FDA, HIPAA, HCFA, DPW, and others.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Nursing, 3+ years of progressive nursing experience with demonstrated leadership skills, and current licensure as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
