We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at IKA Werke. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and inspect laboratory equipment to ensure high-quality standards.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Utilize safe and proper setup and operation procedures for all tools and equipment.
- Accurately record information on manufacturing orders, time tickets, and other required forms.
- Lift and/or carry boxes containing component parts (up to 50 pounds) and climb ladders to retrieve inventory.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in the assembly, trouble-shooting, repair, and quality inspection of electromechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with assembly equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to interact with management and co-workers.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of SAP.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, including measurement and dimensioning.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including standing at a workstation, occasional sitting, lifting, and climbing ladders.
