Position Summary

The full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the daily medication management processes throughout the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of clinical pharmacy services and the management of drug distribution operations.

This role operates on an 8-hour shift with a rotating schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy institution.
Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent clinical experience.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Current pharmacist license in the State of California.
BLS certification as required in the Pharmacist Responsibilities for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) and Code Blue Procedure.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacotherapy.
Strong understanding of common disease states and their management.

Ability to comprehend and implement patient care plans.
Proficient in applying current pharmacological principles in a clinical environment.
Skilled in gathering relevant patient information and integrating it into care strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for fulfilling pharmacist responsibilities.
Capability to mentor and train pharmacy interns and residents.
Proficient in preparing medications for immediate use.
Ability to evaluate and recommend appropriate drug therapies.
Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
Adaptability to changing environments and priorities.
Competence in assessing medication regimens to meet patient needs.
Ability to utilize automated information systems effectively in daily operations.
Demonstrated proficiency in pharmaceutical calculations, compounding, and pharmacokinetics.
Strong patient-centered communication skills and necessary computer skills for job functions.
