Position Overview:

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for executing a variety of HR functions and providing support to the HR team in areas such as talent acquisition, employee onboarding, workforce relations, training and development, performance evaluation, benefits management, and policy enforcement.

This position will involve dedicating a significant portion of time to overseeing employee benefits.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Benefits Management:
    • Oversee the management of employee benefits programs, which include health coverage, retirement options, and leave entitlements.
    • Assist staff with inquiries related to benefits and claims processing.
    • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations concerning benefits.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
    • Facilitate the complete recruitment process, encompassing job advertisements, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring decisions.
    • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees and manage the onboarding process to guarantee a seamless integration for new team members.
  • Workforce Relations:
    • Act as a resource for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Address workforce relations matters, including grievances or allegations of misconduct.
    • Conduct investigations when employee issues or concerns arise.
  • Performance Evaluation:
    • Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring evaluations are carried out fairly and consistently.
  • HR Initiatives:
    • Engage in HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement strategies and diversity efforts.
    • Assist in organizational changes and restructuring activities.
    • Contribute to the formulation and execution of HR strategies that align with the broader business objectives.
  • Policy Enforcement & Compliance:
    • Implement HR policies and procedures effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at all levels.
    • Maintain and update employee records and HR information systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, specifically in a generalist or benefits-focused role.
Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
