Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Sports Medicine, Coordinator of Athletic Training Services, or Athletic Trainer Team Lead to provide comprehensive care to individuals with athletic injuries, trauma, and disease processes.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for athletes in community and clinic settings, promoting a culture of wellness and safety.
  • Conduct a wide range of treatment procedures, including rehabilitation and physical therapy, to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain open communication with referring physicians, keeping them informed of patient progress and providing supporting documentation as needed.
  • Work closely with the sports medicine team to ensure seamless care and support for patients, from youth to adult outpatient orthopedic patients and the physically active.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Art degree.
  • Current licensure from the Ohio Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.
  • Current certification by the Athletic Trainers Board of Certification.
  • Current certification in healthcare provider-level CPR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain current and increase knowledge in all aspects of athletic training.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using equipment and technology.
  • Dependability, versatility, and teamwork are essential characteristics for this role.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • At least one year of professional experience in athletic training or a related field.
