As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to provide top-notch care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sports Medicine, Coordinator of Athletic Training Services, or Athletic Trainer Team Lead to provide comprehensive care to individuals with athletic injuries, trauma, and disease processes.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs for athletes in community and clinic settings, promoting a culture of wellness and safety.
- Conduct a wide range of treatment procedures, including rehabilitation and physical therapy, to support patients in their recovery journey.
- Maintain open communication with referring physicians, keeping them informed of patient progress and providing supporting documentation as needed.
- Work closely with the sports medicine team to ensure seamless care and support for patients, from youth to adult outpatient orthopedic patients and the physically active.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Art degree.
- Current licensure from the Ohio Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.
- Current certification by the Athletic Trainers Board of Certification.
- Current certification in healthcare provider-level CPR.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain current and increase knowledge in all aspects of athletic training.
- Knowledge and proficiency in using equipment and technology.
- Dependability, versatility, and teamwork are essential characteristics for this role.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- At least one year of professional experience in athletic training or a related field.
