Division Sales Manager Role:
The Division Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and be responsible for the sale of packaging materials within assigned areas to meet the division's sales and profit goals. This role includes supervising field sales, managing product inventory and distribution, and coordinating with other company activities for efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement annual sales forecasts and plans to drive business growth.
- Direct and oversee selling activities within the assigned division, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Coach and motivate the sales team to achieve peak performance, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
Strategic Planning:
- Assist in the development of the division's sales plans and forecasts, incorporating market feedback and industry trends.
- Develop sales strategies based on market analysis, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategy development, ensuring optimal revenue growth.
Customer Relationships:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and enhance customer satisfaction, driving loyalty and retention.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations, maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and innovations, applying this expertise to drive business growth.
- Prepare and present quarterly assessments to executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or marketing.
- 7+ years of business-to-business sales experience in packaging, industrial products, or freight industries.
- Distribution experience, with a strong understanding of supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Windows-based programs and the internet, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, with strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
