Nursing Director Job Description

CARTI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Director to lead our team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a talent for building and managing high-performing teams.

Job Summary:

The Nursing Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes, while also maintaining a culture of safety and excellence within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Lead and manage teams of nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care is delivered
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including budgets and operational data
  • Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in oncology nursing and share knowledge with the team

Requirements:

  • 8 years of clinical practice as an RN required; 3 years of formal healthcare leadership experience required
  • Oncology experience preferred; knowledge and experience in managing physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Chemotherapy Certification preferred
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (MSN preferred)

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
