**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians, leading and directing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in direct care, and maintaining accountability to the R.N. Supervisor, Assistant Director, and Director of Nursing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assess resident status, documenting medical needs and treatment plans.

• Monitor residents, providing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility protocols.

• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Take and record vital signs, administer medications, and document accordingly.

• Schedule CNA assignments, providing guidance, education, and performance accountability.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily chart checks.

• Participate in Multidisciplinary Staff Meetings (MDS+) and Total Care Plan meetings.

• Perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Nursing.

**Requirements:**

• Ability to perform physical demands, including holding, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, and handling objects, sitting, standing, walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.

• Cognitive and sensory requirements include the ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions, communicate effectively, and detect changes in temperature.

• Current Registered Nurse (R.N.) licensure in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing.

• Occupational exposure requires universal precautions.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, tolerate prolonged standing and walking, and take/give instructions well, with a preference for working with the elderly.
