Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As an EP Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting our invasive cardiovascular procedures, working closely with physicians and nurses to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting, operating high technology equipment and utilizing products under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Assist nurses with patient management, providing appropriate care to patients consistent with level of training.
  • Support the service and/or departmental operation, serving and managing internal and external customers.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, maintaining the laboratory and/or operating room and equipment.
Requirements
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), American Heart Association (required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), American Heart Association (preferred)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) (preferred)
  • RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) (preferred)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in a Health Sciences or related field (preferred)
  • One of the following Accredited Certifications: CVT (Cardiovascular Technician Certification), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), Paramedic, ARRT R, (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, Radiography), CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
Working Conditions

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids. May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials.

Frequently works in a dimly lit room, On-Call, Flexible Schedule

Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
