Job Overview
The South Carolina State Government is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role
As an Equipment Operator for the State of South Carolina, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are working properly and reporting any mechanical issues to your supervisor. You will also ensure that all vehicles receive scheduled maintenance and report when a vehicle needs repair. In addition to these responsibilities, you may be assigned other duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily checks on equipment to identify any potential issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
• Report any mechanical problems or required repairs to your supervisor
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Working Environment
You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on maintaining heavy equipment to ensure efficient operations. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential to success in this role.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience in heavy equipment maintenance is highly desirable but not necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
