Key Responsibilities:

Tire Services (performed according to TIA standards):

  • Remove, install, rotate, balance, and repair flats for all types of vehicles, including commercial trucks.
  • Reset TPMS as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tread depth, air pressure, and tire integrity, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Utilize inspection forms to assess vehicles and report potential repairs to the supervisor.
  • Perform essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, filter and fluid inspections, and other minor mechanical repairs.
  • Safely raise and lower vehicles using hydraulic or floor jacks.
  • Effectively operate all shop equipment, including rim clamp machines, balancers, lifts, air-powered tools, torque wrenches, and parts washers.
  • Thoroughly read work orders and execute all assigned tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Set up tire displays and signage each morning, ensuring they are stored properly at the end of the day.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive mechanics.
  • Proficiency in changing tires on commercial vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance standards.
  • Ongoing training as required by company policies.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic and alignment equipment.
