We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthetics to patients undergoing medical, dental, and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing medical, dental, and surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and communicate information to physicians
- Perform tasks such as inserting artificial airways, administering oxygen, and attempting to prevent surgical shock
- Assist with stabilization of patients and coordination of evacuation to medevac centers or CONUS
- Develop, recommend, and implement standard operating instructions and practices pertaining to the administration and management of anesthetics
- Select and prescribe post-anesthesia medications or treatments to patients
- Evaluate patients' post-surgical or post-anesthesia responses and take appropriate corrective actions
- Must have completed an accredited Nursing training program leading to a diploma, certification, or bachelor's degree
- Must have completed an accredited Nurse Anesthetist school in the US resulting in a diploma or master's degree
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed Nurse Anesthetist
- Must hold and maintain a current unrestricted U.S. (State) Medical license as a Nurse Anesthetist
- Must hold a current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRBA)
The CRNA will work in a typical interior/office work environment, with travel in Iraq required by surface or air. The CRNA must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments, and must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs of gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
