Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist (ST) working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon will assume responsibility and accountability for care of infants, children, adults, geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Care needs may range from those requiring outpatient procedures to the critically ill.

The ST will follow the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System.

The ST will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures
  • Assist with preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
  • Maintain a safe and clean operating room environment
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedure execution
  • Participate in post-operative care and recovery

Requirements:

  • Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred or currently enrolled in job-related clinical program or job-related experience one (1) year minimal
  • Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
  • Clinical experience, preferred
  • Certification, preferred
