Job Summary

LPR International is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Site Supervisor to join our team in Bethesda, MD. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food service experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a clean and safe food service environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of contract workers, including planning schedules, resources, and tools.
  • Monitor and report progress on work assignments, making adjustments as necessary to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Assign tasks and provide technical direction to team members, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Support and explain management or contract issues to subordinates.
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing staff, and advise on performance improvement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree in food management may be substituted for 5 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a large, high-volume cafeteria-style/multi-food service operation.
  • Current sanitation certificate (within 4 years).
  • Thorough knowledge of food preparation principles, including recipe development and planning.
  • Basic knowledge of diet and nutrition.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to plan and schedule work assignments.
  • Familiarity with basic computer equipment, office equipment, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, or uncomfortable areas.
  • Ability to employ hand dexterity in the use of equipment.
  • Ability to handle moderate noise typical of a cafeteria setting.
