Job Title: Vice President, Information Technology

This is a unique opportunity to join Dynavax Technologies as a Vice President, Information Technology. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with executives to develop and evolve the company's technology direction, ensuring alignment with global business goals.
  • Formulate comprehensive technology strategies that support business objectives, encompassing short-term and long-term IT planning.
  • Lead the development of technology capability roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and technology lifecycle roadmaps.
  • Develop and execute an internal customer relationship plan to exceed client expectations in a rapidly growing and compliance-based environment.
  • Establish strong partnerships with commercial and manufacturing teams to ensure technology needs are met, driving sales and manufacturing goals.
  • Represent the IT function on the Enterprise Leadership Team, providing technology thought leadership and presenting quarterly updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive global IT security and risk management programs, including policies, trainings, and programs.
  • Establish effective governance for global IT controls, leveraging experience in SOX, GxP, Data Protection, and other compliance-driven requirements.
  • Lead a high-performing team of information technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and support through coaching and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in IT/Technology leadership within the life sciences field, including at least 5 years in an executive capacity.
  • BSc/BA in computer science, business administration, or information management, or equivalent qualifications; MSc/MA preferred.
  • MBA or Graduate degree and/or equivalent preferred.
  • Recent and substantial pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience required.
  • Deep experience across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions required.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive leadership skills with experience in growing and leading a high-performance team.
  • Innovation thought leader who combines experience and creativity to drive change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Excellent communicator (written & oral) with strong presentation and organization skills.
  • Ability to sit; stand; walk; reach with arms and hands; lift and move small objects; and use hands to keyboard and perform other office-related tasks.
  • Occasional travel required, as needed.

The estimated salary range for this position is $300,000 to $333,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program. Dynavax also offers a full range of health and welfare insurance benefits, 401(k) company match, and paid time off benefits, including 17 paid holidays in 2024.
