Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of our administrative team and staff, the successful candidate will accurately read and interpret physicians' instructions, ensuring seamless communication and patient care.

Diagnostic Imaging Procedures:

The Medical Imaging Specialist will perform and position patients for x-ray exams, adhering to our departmental standard procedures. This will involve minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff through the use of collimation, patient shielding, and exposure factors.

Image Quality and Patient Flow:

The successful candidate will coordinate patient flow, reviewing images for diagnostic and technical quality. They will also check equipment for proper functioning, calling for repairs or maintenance as needed, and perform quality assurance tasks.

Departmental Policies and Procedures:

The Medical Imaging Specialist will follow our departmental policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA and NYSDOH requirements. They will also maintain a clean and organized workspace, assisting fellow coworkers as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography, with a valid license and registration (ARRT) required. Additional certification may be necessary, depending on the specialty. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is also required.

Work Schedule:

The Medical Imaging Specialist will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as eligibility for employer 401(k) funding after one year. We also offer tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off, and paid sick leave.
