**About the Role**

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Apply technical expertise across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and design.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code deliverables for modules.
  • Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
  • Participate in a learning culture that values teamwork, collaboration, excellence, and diversity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within a reasonable distance from our offices or be willing to relocate.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Linux Administrator.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Unix/Shell scripting, Jenkins, and Urban Code Deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now and Lean/Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
  • Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.
